Hong Kong: Stocks rise at open

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened with further gains Tuesday (Mar 29) following a strong performance on Wall Street fuelled by hopes over Ukraine-Russia ceasefire talks.

    The Hang Seng Index rose 0.40 per cent or 86.32 points to 21,771.29.

    The Shanghai Composite Index inched up 0.05 per cent or 1.51 points to 3,216.01, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange added 0.23 per cent or 4.73 points to 2,101.24. AFP
