MAINLAND Chinese stocks opened higher on Thursday (Aug 25) after Beijing announced more steps to help boost the world’s second-largest economy.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 8.26 points, or 0.26 per cent, higher at 3,223.46, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange rose 7.08 points, or 0.33 per cent, to 2,167.46.
