Hong Kong: Stocks rise in opening trade
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks on Wednesday extended their winning streak to a third straight day following another positive lead from Wall Street that came in response to upbeat data on US growth and consumer spending.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.18 per cent, or 39.38 points, to 21,869.40.
In Shanghai the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was marginally higher, adding 1.51 points to 3,653.28, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.08 per cent, or 1.83 points, to 2,381.46.
