Hong Kong: Stocks sink on Ukraine invasion

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks plunged more than 3 per cent on Thursday (Feb 24) after Russia invaded Ukraine and fuelled fears of a major war in eastern Europe, while tech firms extended recent losses.
The Hang Seng Index dived 3.21 per cent, or 758.72 points, to 22,901.56.
The Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.70 per cent, or 59.19 points to 3,429.96, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange shed 2.36 per cent, or 55.14 points, to 2,282.44. AFP
