Hong Kong: Stocks soar on easing Trump tariff fears

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares soared more than two per cent Tuesday, taking a big bite out of recent losses with fears abating that Donald Trump's planned tariffs could spark a global trade war.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 2.09 per cent, or 624.34 points, to end at 30,510.73.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.00 per cent, or 32.71 points, to 3,289.64 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was up 1.17 per cent, or 21.38 points, to 1,852.22.
