    Hong Kong stocks fell at Friday’s (Oct 7) open, extending the previous day’s loss after racking up massive gains earlier in the week, with focus firmly on the release of US jobs data later in the day.

    The Hang Seng Index fell 0.89 per cent, or 160.53 points, to 17,851.62.
