HONG KONG stocks opened on Friday (Oct 14) to bounce back from this week’s selling following a rollercoaster day on Wall Street fuelled by another disappointing US inflation report.

The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.62 per cent, or 18.68 points to 3,035.03, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange gained 0.77 per cent or 14.80 points to 1,949.08. AFP
