Hot stock: NOL shares jump on acquisition talks
[SINGAPORE] Shares of Singapore's Neptune Orient Lines Ltd soared as much as 8 per cent in early trade on Monday to S$1.13, their highest in nearly six months, after the company said it was in talks with potential buyers.
The container shipper said on Saturday that it was in preliminary talks with CMA CGM SA and A.P. Moeller-Maersk on a potential acquisition of the company, which has struggled in a weak global shipping market.
