Hot stock: Sembcorp rises 4.1% on profit guidance of better H1 performance

SHARES of Sembcorp Industries jumped 4.1 per cent or S$0.12 on Tuesday (Jul 19) to finish the day at S$3.05, following a profit guidance which hinted at “materially higher” financial results for H1 2022.
The company’s shares notched up as much as 4.3 per cent or S$0.125 to reach an intra-day high of S$3.055 in the early part of the trading session, and was one of the most heavily traded counters by volume on Tuesday, with some 10.8 million shares changing hands.
The last time the counter closed near this level was in October 2018.
