MALAYSIAN stocks closed lower on Thursday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 7.11 points to 1,863.46. Volume was 1.82 billion shares worth RM1.90 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers by 476 to 384.
