Malaysia: Shares close higher on Friday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 23.02 points to 1,596.33.

Volume was 9.498 billion lots worth RM5.851 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 636 to 410.
