MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 1.74 points to 1,577.12.

Volume was 7.718 billion lots worth RM5.023 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 707 to 390.
