    MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 6.290 points to 1,678.080.

    Volume was 1.555 billion lots worth RM1.396 billion.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 423 to 379.
