    MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday (Oct 3) with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 2.99 points to 1,397.62.

    Volume was 1.789 billion lots worth RM1.449 billion.

    In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 530 to 285.
