    MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday (Oct 17) with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 3.80 points to 1,386.27.

    Volume was 1.976 billion lots worth RM1.489 billion.

    In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 443 to 363.
