[KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysia share prices closed higher on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 2.54 points to 1,644.35.

Volume was 3.847 billion lots worth RM2.395 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 500 to 386.
