MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 11.49 points to 1,683.62.

Volume was 3.3 billion lots worth RM2.2 billion.

Gainers far outnumbered losers 679 to 214.
