MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 5.06 points to 1,615.67.

Volume was 2.3 billion lots worth RM1.6 billion.

Gainers narrowly outnumbered losers 460 to 378.
