MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 4.74 points to 1,726.67.

Volume was 2 billion lots worth RM2 billion.

Gainers beat losers 424 to 414.
