MALAYSIA shares closed higher on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 4.42 points to 1590.16.

Volume was 4.083 billion lots worth RM2.96 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers by 620 to 393.
