MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up seven points to 1,589.19.

Volume was 4.251 billion lots worth RM2.882 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 631 to 399.
