MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 2.61points to 1,563.90.

Volume was 4.998 billion lots worth RM3.343 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 610 to 452.
