MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 12.37 points to 1,531.22.

Volume was 3.108 billion lots worth RM2.617 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 521 to 414.
