MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 23.92 points to 1,567.53.

Volume was 2.523 billion lots worth RM1.861 billion.

Gainers narrowly outnumbered losers 479 to 413.
