MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 17.83 points to 1,591.72.

Volume was 3.248 billion lots worth RM2.927 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 700 to 318.
