MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 18.86 points to 1,600.12.

Volume was 7.978 billion lots worth RM5.149 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 617 to 561.
