MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 9.12 points to 1,587.45.

Volume was 5.551 billion lots worth RM3.427 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 626 to 427.
