MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 7.69 points to 1,605.97.

Volume was 4.613 billion lots worth RM2.913 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 573 to 495.
