MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 15.04 points to 1,623.47.

Volume was 8.129 billion lots worth RM5.590 billion.

Gainers narrowly outnumbered losers 577 to 560.
