MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 7.30 points to 1,582.46.

Volume was 7.007 billion lots worth RM3.938 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 565 to 427.
