MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 6.93 points to 1,496.73.

Volume was 3.683 billion lots worth RM2.204 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 520 to 449.
