MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 3.02 points to 1,627.99.

Volume was 9.161 billion lots worth RM4.893 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 634 to 615.
