MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Thursday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 1.81 points to 1,602.40.

Volume was 7.596 billion lots worth RM4.892 billion.

Gainers narrowly outnumbered losers 569 to 505.
