MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 9.97 points to 1,608.25.

Volume was 6.492 billion lots worth RM4.738 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 801 to 323.
