MALAYSIA shares closed higher on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 6.71 points to 1537.63.

Volume was 3.654 billion lots worth RM2.705 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers by 629 to 404.
