MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 15.77 points to 1,599.61.

Volume was 3.573 billion lots worth RM2.981 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 519 to 447.
