MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 0.57 point to 1,598.28.

Volume was 5.911 billion lots worth RM2.991 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 510 to 502.
