MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 4.88 points to 1582.52.

Volume was 2.589 billion lots worth RM1.925 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 582 to 361.
