Malaysia: Shares close higher on Wednesday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 12.04 points to 1,597.94.

Volume was 7.439 billion lots worth RM4.099 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 711 to 362.
