MALAYSIA shares closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 1.89 points to 1482.81.

Volume was 2.817 billion lots worth RM1.745 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers by 442 to 418.
