MALAYSIA shares closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 21.42 points to 1551.51.

Volume was 2.958 billion lots worth RM2.517 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers by 579 to 412.
