MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 7.93 points to 1,604.72.

Volume was 3.423 billion lots worth RM2.467 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 601 to 435.
