MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 7.11 points to 1,602.40.

Volume was 6.954 billion lots worth RM3.560 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 633 to 438.
