MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 20.70 points to 1,590.78.

Volume was 16.556 billion lots worth RM5.876 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 779 to 466.
