    MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 5.59 points to 1,541.15.

    Volume was 2.894 billion lots worth RM1.972 billion.

    Losers outnumbered gainers 557 to 406.
