MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 7.88 points to 1,602.47.

Volume was 2 billion lots worth RM1.8 billion.

Losers beat gainers 395 to 388.
