MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 19.92 points to 1,531.28.

Volume was 8.846 billion lots worth RM5.452 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 648 to 480.
