MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Tuesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 11.7 points to 1,478.64.

Volume was 3.1 billion lots worth RM2.5 billion.

Gainers narrowly outnumbered losers 456 to 410.
