MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 6.48 points to 1,595.93.

Volume was 9.342 billion lots worth RM5.389 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 634 to 428.
