    MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Tuesday (Oct 4), with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 11.74 points to 1,409.36.

    Volume was 1.916 billion lots worth RM1.455 billion.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 568 to 280.
